Gustav Adolfs Torg

Christmas (Jul) is a big event in Sweden.  It breaks up the dark and cold months and Swedes love Christmas lights, candles and decorations.  The shops are full of candles and Tomtes and most of the public places are decorated.

Gustav Adolfs Torg (torg means square) in the centre of Malmö is located between Stor Torget (the big town square) and Trianglen.  It had been dressed up for Christmas and houses two igloos and lots of Christmas decorations and stalls.

Inside the first igloo was free gingerbread decoration.  Inside the second was a set of animals made from lights:
