USA - Part 9 - Travel between parks

Before I get on to discussing Magic Kingdom, which was by far the largest Disney park and also the two Universal Studio parks, I wanted to briefly details the travel that we did to/from the parks and between them.

I mentioned in my first Disney post that there was a shuttle area outside the hotel where there were buses to all of the parks (including ESPN and the two water parks which we didn't visit) and also between the resorts.

Whenever we wanted to change parks or return to the resort for a break, we could head out of the park and usually wait around 10 minutes for a bus to take us back.  The buses came fairly regularly (about every 20min) from 1 hour before the parks opened to 1hr after they shut.  The only real issue was at the end of the day when the park closed and everyone was leaving.  In these cases the lines for the buses got very long and several buses were required.

The whole system worked pretty efficiently, and our only real issue was the heat and humidity.  After doing 6 full days at themeparks we were pretty exhausted:

In addition to the buses, there were boats that ran between the waterside resorts and the parks:

There is also a Monorail that runs between several of the resorts and we used this between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
