Copenhagen Christmas Markets 2016 - 19-Oct

Instead of resting after getting back from Iceland, like normal people would, we decided to head over to Copenhagen the next weekend in order to check out the Danish Christmas Markets.

Last year we had visited the ones in Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv and Tivoli and this year we hit the markets again - this time with a bit more confidence that we knew what we were doing.

The markets were similar to what we remembered, so we didn't take too many photos.

We started at the Kongens Nytorv Market:
The market (the lady in grey doesn't look too happy...)

The markets were massively crowded, in some we couldn't even get near the stalls but it was still cool to look around and start to feel Christmassy (and by that I mean slightly festive but mostly jostled by crowds).

One of the coolest stalls was a chocolate one that sold chocolate tools that were dusted with cocoa to look rusty:

Hammers and wrench
Chocolate Horseshoes

I told the guys I was worried I was going to be eaten by a bear in Sweden, they said I was unlikely to see one...

Run reindeer, run!

The hotel decorations were amazing

After Kongens Nytorv we walked to the Nyhavn market - it was packed!  The photo above doesn't look too busy but it was one of the few times we hit a clear patch and I could move my arms to take a photo, I got one photo at Nyhavn:

And of course the kids would never let us visit Copenhagen without a stop in a Tivoli (at least while our year pass was still valid).  The Tivoli markets were also in full swing so the park was crowded too. I took a stack of photos last year so I didn't take as many this year.
