Today was New Year's Eve. We did a bit of shopping in the morning and then settled in for the fireworks in the evening. Like Sweden, there were fireworks all around, but we also had the added bonus of a showing of the northern lights and a lot of snow.
Kris and I started with a walk around 9pm, ending up overlooking Trondheim. We got to see the lights of the town and the pre-midnight fireworks:

One of the issues with the fireworks is the rubbish - most of this will get buried in the snow. Luckily most is cardboard which will breakdown:
Just before midnight we headed outside to watch the fireworks and also caught the northern lights:
New Year's Day was a quiet one at home, sorting some of the bags out ready for our next leg.
