December 2018 - Christmas, Graduations and Family Photos

I haven't had much to update on here recently as we've been settling back into life in Australia.  We still miss Sweden and all our friends and the opportunities for travel, but it is also nice to be home and to catch up with everyone back here.

December was a pretty hectic month, as Decembers always are.

We started by putting up the Christmas tree on the 1st.  We had amassed a good collection of ornaments from around the world - some Malmö FF team ones, some family ones from Bronners in the USA and a bunch from the countries we travelled to.  We also had the chance to pull out all of our old decorations that had been in storage while we were away.  Our giant light-up moose and Mr Bling the glittery moose also came out for display and Kristine's Yule lads from Iceland.

On the 10th of December the children's school had a carols night, where Tomas and Cameron performed.  It was also the first part of Cameron's three-part graduation from primary school.

The following night was the 2nd part of Cameron's graduation - the ceremony:

The final part was following night, where they had a party down at Moana Surf Club.

After the craziness of the graduations, we relaxed for the rest of the week and then on the 15th we headed out to see some Christmas light displays.  First we headed to the Brewery, where the usual Christmas display was on:

We then came back via Westminster School and checked out their massive display:

Our first Christmas back in Australia stretched over three days.  We started on Christmas Eve with giving the kids an early present:

It's a pool!

Although it's a little dry..
While the pool was filling we had Christmas at Grandma's house.  The next day, after Santa visited, we headed to Nan and Grump's and then on Boxing day we had Christmas with Nanna Jo and Grandy.

We then had a couple of days to recover before Grandma's birthday and family photos:
